Shipping With Strapping machines

Strapping machines usually have high tensions or are stand-alone with the use.

These handheld points of tensioners are great for pulling the strapping tightly around these boxes. The strapping seal then gets crimped in order to keep the strapping in its place.

The stand-alone machines utilize foot pedals or photo eyes to; help with strapping items, and also helps with strengthening these boxes that are heavy, and also any bundling of greater than one item.

It’s important to make sure that you follow the steps on how one uses each of these strapping machines. Use stronger, more secure types of packaging as well with strapping machines to help with this.

How they’re Used

Handheld strapping machines are used mostly, especially since they pull polypropylene, polyester, and also metal types of strapping real tight.

As this is held in a tight manner, you then use a seal or a crimper in order to secure and then hold this tightly so that this tool is able to be removed.

Some strapping machines are more all-in-one, and usually include sealing, along with tension options.

First, you must wrap the item that’s being secured with the strapping.

Take the strapping ends and bring them together, leaving around 8 or 10 inches on every side with this.

From there, with the side that’s closest to you near the top, you take the strapping and then put this on the tensioner.  You then want to close this tensioner, which then ratchets these ends nice and tight.

Once the tension is tight, you then take seals, placing these around, and then you strap each of these with the crimper.

Then, you take the crimper and the tensioner out, along with the extra ends of strapping.

These strapping machines, especially the handheld ones, are a very affordable means in order to secure these shipments. Most of these handheld systems are purchased relatively cheap, and the strapping is included. You can bundle different loads, strengthen the boxes, and then secure these products as well to your shipments with the use of a machine.

Standalone Strapping Machines

There are also standalone machines which are more efficient, better for some people, and it can be good for some users with tons of boxes.

Sometimes, you need to strap these around large items, and then, put the end of the strapping into the machine.

Some are fully-automatic which are good for limiting the number of people used.

To use these, you want to turn on the machine, and then heat this up.

Next, depending on your machine, you put this strapping over every single product, or the products that are secured, and then insert this into the machine.

Make sure that this strapping is positioned properly directly onto the box.  You might need more than one strapping to fully secure this.

From there, you push the foot pedal, or put the box directly over that photo eye that’s on there if automatic, in order to apply the strapping.

Once that’s done, in the event that you need more straps on a singular side, put the box properly in its rightful place, adding another strap.

Once these straps get applied correctly, then rotate your box, and add another strap that’s perpendicular to the first couple of straps. Add another as needed.

They are an investment, especially if you need a tensioner, but the strapping machines are a lot more efficient, especially for larger orders. Be mindful of the size of the arch, along with the boxes that you wrap, but you’ll be able to secure all of these in a matter of seconds.
